5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
for the 2007 camry, i looked under the search on this site for the gen 6 camry reviews for husky or weathertech mats, i was lookiing for the ones that completely cover the edges of the footwell. does anyone own them? what do you think about them?
I have Husky's. I love them. A lot cheaper and cover as good if not better. What I like about husky's is they cover the dumby pedal where as the weathertech ones do not and that is a common place for grime and what not to collect.
i have neither. i actually have a set of Goodyear mats that i got at pep boys for about $40. deep nipples to grasp into the carpet, water and dirt catching pockets. fit as near perfect as possible too, as long as you do not have to cut them, which i didn't.
This is a no brainer unless $$$ is your over all decision driver.....I live in Minnesota...sloppy winters... Bought a new 2011 SE last November, black carpet...... Bought Toyota "All Weather" mats, not good enough... Bought Husky "All Weather", not good enough.... Stumbled on Weather Tech website before they started their big TV campaign. Ordered a full set...the ones that cover the edges that you are wondering about. I will never buy another car without also buying a full set of Weather Techs. WELL worth the cost if you are picky about keeping your car clean. I am 200% satisfied with what I got...even considering the $180 or so price tag. (If I am correctly recalling the cost).

I own the Husky Liners (gray) set and like them a lot. They cover the edges and don't slip at all. Great price and I love it.
The only con I would give it is that it covers the trunk and gas release. You have to lift up the liner to get to it. Not a huge issue.

i saw a full set with the same style you have for 80-108.00$ i guess they went down in price since then... I live in Florida so snow is not a problem, but where i live is dusty and i live in a sort of rural area, so the occasional mud and a lot of dust is the problem, and i enjoy the beach also, so they will trap the sand! and like the post above me, i hear people cut the corner for the trunk release. but paying this much, i dont think i will cut them.
i hear both good about husky and weather tech and they both have the full footwell covering style, all about the same price, im just cought in the middle
I love my weather techs, and mine don't cover the gas/trunk release levers, either. It's nice to just pull them out and wash 'em down at the car wash Remember, too, I live in Wisconsin and because of the weather techs I have yet to get salty slop anywhere on the carpet.
Honestly, you could probably go either way and be fine.

Agree. But the only problem is the dead pedal. I have put a gray towel over the dead pedal carpet because the Weather Techs do not cover this area. They do cover everything else great though!
Funny I just got received my husky floor liners off ebay for 116 dollars shipped today because the weathertechs were a bit more pricey but the husky's are great and fit perfectly too. Only thing with the husky is like someone said the driver side it covers the trunk/gas lever, but only takes like 1 sec to pull it up to get to it so no big deal to me. lol I can tech a pic tomorrow if you want me too.
