How to Use my Warranty

Hi, Im pretty new to this forum, Im usual on Clublexus, but anyways I had bought a certified 2009 toyota camry se 4 cyclinder with 38k, it now has 68k, there is nothing wrong with the car like failures, etc but my car doesnt drive the way a camry should. mainly the engine sounds like its been ragged out and its not as smooth as other gen 6 i have driven, its specifcally louder then other camry 07-09 camry's cause I have other gen 6 camry's in my family. When I looked up the Carfax it was a rental car from Hertz. I purchased the extened warrenty from toyota to 100k, How do I go about them replacing my motor or rebuilding it, it sounds like its the Lifters, Thanks.

i would start by creating a "paper trail"

here is how,,,

'write down all that you say here, and add any extra's if need be.

then go to a Toyota dealer, and speak with the service writer/advisor.

let the mechanics diagnose any problems.

if the noise persists or the crappy running persists, go back again..remember, you created a "paper trail"....

Toyota will simply not rebuild your engine, unless there is a total failure. i can assure you, the techs (as well as the computer on board) will tell a story of abuse, so do not abuse the car in any way.

i thought i was told (seen here actually) that an SE WILL BE somewhat noisier than an LE or XLE. it may be the exhaust system, it can be a "normal" noise you are hearing from under the hood.

Ok, Well I have Taken care of the car good, Since I bought it, Regular oil changes etc, other people who have driven my car that have

camrys (gen 6 one SE and LE), have told me that my camry drives different, and the steering is not as tight. I know there is a TSB for that,

I took it to the dealer one time about that, and they said they couldnt find anything about that, which was BS. I do have a friend that does

work at Toyota as a tech, But its not the same toyota dealer where I have purchased my camry from with the warrenty. The best way to

describe how it sounds like is that you know the regular raspy noise when you go above 2.5 k to about 4.5k, well mines about about 40%

louder then regular camrys
