Keyless entry - basic question

Hi all

First - Thanks for all the information that is in this forum. It really helped me in installing an after market radio receiver in my car. I am sure it helps a lot of ppl.

I recently bought a used 2005 Toyota Camry LE version.

It comes with power windows/central locking - but no remote entry.

I did not get any remote/fob to lock/unlock through a remote.

My question is - since my car already has central locking - is it enough to buy an after market remote and program it or Do I need to but a "remote entry system" and install it from scratch?

If remote is all I need - a couple of pointers to any good/reliable remote would help.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Am I looking at some specific remote model??

Something like this?? - https://www.ikeyless.com/vehicles/To.../2005/1000318/

If there is a better/reliable source to buy one - please let me know.

I presume I can program it myself with the instructions I find online.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

yep! thats what you want. i would trust that site i guess, but i would probably buy one from ebay instead, but thats me. as for programming, im pretty sure you can do it yourself, but it might be better to take it somewhere if you're willing to pay $75.00 or something like that and you know it will work.
hope this helps.
