5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
oil change i do it in dealer since they keep records also $14.95 for oil change is not bad
tire rotation look for cheapest around or you can do it yourself x pattern
As a general rule, I would avoid Jiffy Lube, Valvoline, Walmart, etc. Occasionally you can come across a good team of people who work there, but it's not something to rely on. I used to work in a Walmart TLE and I can safely say we had the most competent team of people EVER! 3 of the guys even had auto tech degrees, and we were all pretty good friends. We held the record of least amount of problems in the tri-state area. Now, we all left and it's gone downhill terribly.
But anyway, can't go wrong with the dealer (as long as they're priced fair), or an excellent independent shop. There's pros and cons to each side. Personally, I do 95% of the maintenance myself. That way I know if I screwed up, it's my fault

You should do that to maximize your tread wear (more even).
I always have all of the maintenance done by the dealer. The price is about $54 + tax, including oil change, rotating tires, and inspect many things.
PS: My dealer never did anything wrong!!!

And a side question..when I get eye lids, should I make them black to go with the black and blue? Or the the cars color of blue ribbon?

It's up to you. It's your personal preference. However, I haven't seen a blue eye lid.
