I ordered a set of Kensun h11 6k HIDs, but the bulbs don't seem to fit in the headlight housings, just wondering if anyone else had this problem? They're really close but it its like the tabs are a hair too big or something.

I rotated them around quite a bit, these are OE housings, the bulbs are clearly not that good in quality, they just have plastic nubs to hold them in instead of the metal tangs the originals (and most other HID kits even cheaper ones) use, unless they sent the wrong bulb but the tangs do match up pretty well with the stock bulb. I might be able to shave them down a little to fit but at this point I'm not even sure I want to use them. The more I think about it I think I'm just going to return them and get a Xentec kit, they're substantially cheaper yet seem to have better quality bulbs (they use OE style metal tabs).

Does the Xentec really use OE style metal tabs? Cause I can't find it anywhere, all I saw was the same plastic tabs.
I couldn't get the bulbs with the plastic tabs to fit on my 2011 headlights either (it was fine for my 09 headlights) and I had to use the bulbs with the metal tabs that I got from DDM Tuning, which is very rare (1 in 1000 I think) cause when I bought the 2nd pair they sent me the plastic ones, otherwise I'll be stuck with no bulbs. The damn thing just won't lock fully in place.
Well, the pictures I've seen from sellers of the Xentec all show metal tabs, I emailed one of the biggest vendors of them on ebay to ask. If not I dunno what my next move is.

I have seen this problem before. We have had many customers that end up purchasing our H11 HID kits as our h11 bulbs are properly designed for H11 applications. You will not need to modify your headlights and/or the HID bulb.
ToyotaNation members get a $25 discount on our HID kits by using coupon code "TN" upon checkout.
Hey Steve, does ur Philips rebased bulbs use metal tabs or plastic? I've been thinking of buying a pair and it should work with any aftermarket ballasts right?
Also, can I use that discount for the bulbs? Cause they are pretty expensive.
All our H11 HID bulbs (both Philips and Xtreme) use plastic bases. I know what problem you had and why you had the problem. I can assure you that you will not encounter this with our H11 bulbs regardless of plastic vs metal.

Steve, what's the difference between Digital HID and Volt HID? I see the Volt kit is cheaper. Should I stick with Digital Kit for safe bet. Plus, am I correct that Xtreme is plug and play not spliced wires to connect the bulbs wire right? Thanks!
1) The Xtreme HID kit will come with a relay harness that will power the ballasts directly from the battery whereas the Volt HID kit relies on the OEM headlight wiring to power the ballasts. The Xtreme harness will ensure that the ballasts always receive a constant 12V as power is being drawn directly from the battery. You do not have to use this relay harness if you prefer not to.
2) The Xtreme ballasts will be superior to the Volt ballasts as they use a German ASIC processing chip that allows the ballasts to monitor the bulb power requirements on a real time basis. This will extend both bulb and ballast life.
3) The Xtreme kit comes with a 3 year warranty whereas the Volt kit comes with a 2 year warranty.
