Gen5 need to lift rear of car..... TRD springs

06 SE 2azfe 82k

front struts: kyb replaced around 30k?
rear struts: original toyota
TRD lowering springs all around

as most of you know when you install TRD springs, the drop in the rear is greater; the stock look of the car the back is slightly raised simular to a pickup truck but with the new springs the car is slightly lower all around with a more level appearance; however the wheel gap in the rear is significantly smaller in the back than the front..... now this i can live with and is to be expected.... but with people in the back seat the back end of the car is way too low..... im also planning to get new wheels and tires soon that will add an inch to the overall height of the tires and i really dont need tire rub

im wondering if anyone knows any ways to add perhaps a 1/2inch to the rear end height of the springs/struts; perhaps some kind of spacer on the either strut mount? or my job sells an adjustable spacer that you install in between the coil of the spring to add the height but im wary of changing the spring geometry

P.S. i will be changing most of the suspension componets (struts, balljoints, mounts, links, bushings, tie rods) hopefully sometime next year but the new wheels/tires will be much sooner, probably this winter

Post a pic of your car on level ground. a side shot.

I have Eibachs which is the same as TRD and my front is lower..though i have a V6 so it drops it more.

But as stated above, you can get a spring rubber that will stiffen it up and keep the height level

The way it sits is normal for the I4 with TRD springs. The spring rubber/cushion will def help with evening the ride height out.

how are they supposed to be installed? between the mount/frame or take the strut appart and install it between the spring/mount?

some you shove between the coil of the spring, and for that you don't have to take anything apart.

Depends on what you get, and i am sure instructions are provided

those are the best ones, i have them installed in my coils in my 2010 for when i got my kids in the back seat, it wont literally raise it but it help with spring compression when you have weight, i have mine installed on the top of the coil, i raise dmy car up just a tad, installled then dropped it, they moved a tad bit until they settled in place, but i had zip tied them to the top of the strut to prevent moving or falling out on the freeway when i went on uneven road
