ok...i have read your question...so here it goes..i have a 2010 camry, and on my roof, near the back window, i have a (almost square) satellite antenna. measures about 2" square....that is your first clue...on 2009 and early camry's, there is NO satellite antenna from the factory, they started this in 2010.
now, the satellite receiver (i have been told), would be mounted under the drivers seat..(i do not have a satellite radio, as i wish NOT to pay the monthly service). i think the receiver costs "about" $500 from the dealership..???? but it can be bought elsewhere cheaper.
your radio itself, may have silk screened words like, "satellite" on the face of it somewhere, for the buttons/knobs you need to use, that is if back in 2009 they installed that radio, like they did in my 2010....i think mine is the JBL..???? (factory radio)
hope this helps, if not, "arabianobsseion" (sp??) a mod here, she works in a toyota dealership, she may be better able to answer your questions, PM her or seek her out here on the boards.
