I SEEN ADVERTISED ON TN ABOUT G FORCE PERFORMANCE CHIPS. HAS ANYBODY TRIED THEM? DO THEY WORK? AND IF THEY DO HOW MUCH GAINS IN HP AND MPG??????
ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE APPRECIATED...............

i have dealt with so-called performance chips for some time, but that was years ago. today's makers are way better then the ones of years ago. however, warranty issues have been a problem, especially when vehicles came with computers. many car manufacturers actually have these chips made for thier product line, and sell them at the dealership.

it may be in a person's "best interest" to check the dealership first. it will be a higher price i am sure, but it will be made to the vehicle manufacturer. this many times will not void out a warranty as well.

i just did some searching on the product, and it ain't getting any great reviews...

you'd be better off speaking "one on one" (preferably the service manager, or service advisor) with the dealership to see if they can change the parameters of your car's control unit, or if Toyota actually makes one, that is backed up by Toyota.

seems from what i have read, it's a "placebo effect".....meaning, "you'll THINK it's better"....

They're pointless and don't do anything.

Esp. with Toyota....they make it dang near impossible to do anything besides an aftermarket turbo, cold air intake, etc. Want to use a tuner? Forget it.

THANKS TO ALL WHO GAVE ME THE FEEDBACK I NEEDED. I WILL CHECK WITH THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM. ALSO SOMETIMES IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD BE TRUE STAY AWAY... AGAIN THANKS....
