Thinking about getting strips for the underglow within the cabin of the car and adding some in the dash compartment + trunk. superbrightleds.com has an O.K. price, but where do YOU get your strips from and WHY did you go where you went?
Get at me people, gotta start tweakin the whip a bit...been a busy ass summer, now time to freeze my ass off when I've got the time to make mods. Good ol' Canada.
I think those are meant mainly for headlights since they're the "side" emiting ones, and they're expensive. I've been thinking about getting some of the clearance 6k strips from v-leds: http://www.v-leds.com/Strip-Lights/6.../sc484346-1-3/ there's some pretty good deals in there, my only issue is I only need a couple and shipping kinda racks it up, I really wish I had known up front what LEDs I wanted for all the stuff I replaced and I would have paid a few bucks extra at superbright and combined shipping on everything...

ive always gotten mine from v-leds...i use them b/c when i had an altima i was on the nissanclub.com forums and one of them members there made a front and rear footwell kit that he was selling that tapped into the dome light and would turn on and off w/ the dome and also had a switch that allowed it to be turned on whenever you wanted also...i currently have that kit in the camry now but it only comes on/off w/ the dome light and obviously i had to find the correct wires to tap myself...
v-leds has always worked fine for me...ive only had a defective strip once and they replaced it no problems...i have 4 vleds strips in my trunk right now, as well as in the front and rear footwells, and in the pockets of the front doors...i pretty much have leds everywhere lol...
the kits i bought awhile back can be found on racinglineperformace.com under 02-06 altima lighting...they include a f/r footwell kit, trunk kit, and also an underhood kit (i have this for my car but have yet to install it)...id post links but dont know if thats against forum rules or not...
I ended up finding a supplier in Hong Kong through an ebay search. I'm getting 5M's of cool white LED's. Here's the best part, it only costed me $13.40 with free shipping. The description was very detailed, his ratings were pretty high and the overall lumens are stronger than what superbrightleds carry. It's also weatherproof, cut-able and all that same junk that these LED website carry. All in all, LED's are manufactured at such a fast rate and the technology isn't rocket science so it can be bought cheap, don't let the ebay price fool you into a cheap product. I'm sure superbrightleds and vleds are killing a 300-500% margin.
Ah well it only cost me $13 man lol and it's superbright! I'm sure theres a way to MAYBE protect them from water contact OR it's probably possible that it won't exactly be in direct contact with water anyhow since it will be mounted above my pedals and seats, out of direct water sources.
http://www.oznium.com/ is where I bought my Cathodes from. They also have LED strips. Great customer service.
Second that, I've used oznium for everything in my backyard deck build (minus the step lights), and in my old truck. Fast shipping. I like their waterproof flexible strips, but have also found that they are sometimes picky on how many times you can flex them, something to keep in mind, should be fine once you secure in place, just dont bend them back and forth a bunch or constantly. I also think that would be a problem with any of the flexible strips out there really.

Lol bro that is insanely sick, good find. So i did the path, and if 3 LED's occupy 5 cm thats 2 in. So that means 300 LED strip comes to 100 inches or 8 ft 4 in or LED strip that can be cut every inches. Ya know what that sounds A-OK to me mate. If you go to OZONE for a waterproof strip same price you get 1 ft. Lol literally over 8 times the ammount, and if you were dying to keep it waterproof that shouldn't be that hard, throw on some heat shrink wrap or the likes therof, there is next to no heat from LEDs.
I'm interested to see how to wire these. I wanted to wait and see what you though of them, but hell its 13 bucks free shipping, plus its a 2-3 weeks of waiting.
I agree with ya too man, how can you realy screw up a LED.
