i use the scrubbing pad that is used for pots and pans. it is NOT steel wool, it is made out of plastic i think. then what i do is spray the hub caps with Simple Green, or even sometimes, Wesley's White Wall Cleaner, which has bleach in it. the scrubbing pad i have works each and every time. there are also wheel cleaning brushes that i have, to get into the little nooks and crannies. but otherwise, mine come out spotless each and every time.

another good cleaner, is a Motorcycle wash. comes in a spray bottle, spray it on, let it soak in, scrub, then rinse. the motorcycle cleaner is an all around cleaner for metal and the plastic chrome on all bikes. i have used this cleaner, till i ran out, never went to get any more either...kinda expensive.

Try Michelin Wheel and Tire cleaner. It's hard to find,at least in my area. Try X-1R in Florida. Regards
