I know that the dealer has to shut off the beep when locking and unlocking the doors. Does anyone know how much it costs? Also, I wanted to disconnect the speaker that makes the sound but I really can't find it. Somewhere in the battery area. Does anyone know what needs to be removed to access it?
Thanks

it is behind the front bumper around the battery area. you may have to remove the plastic pan under the car, and all you have to do is unplug it..this is all i did, except, i was able to get my hand in there with out removing the pan.

I tried disconnecting one thing I thought it was but to no avail. Any idea what it looks like or the color of the wires? A pic? Sorry I haven't removed the pan and was hoping to not have to. I can fit my hand down under but don't know where it is. Thanks much!
If you were closer I could turn it off in less than 5 minutes with the Techstream for free. Many dealers will do this service.free the first time but some may also charge you a fee.

you don't have to look...just listen....use your fob and follow the sound. i got to mine in under a minute doing it that way.
and yes, you unplugged the outside air temp sensor.....
Yeah, I did use the FOB but it's under the battery somewhere where I can't see or feel it. It' raining out today so I'll get back to it on the weekend. Thanks
its under the battery area , your gonna have to go under the car to reach up and get it, so basically remove the bottom driver side plastic cover thats under the car and then look up and you'll see it.

Yep I had to floor jack it and remove the plastic pan to find it and get to it. It's tucked away pretty good and there's no other way on this model to get at it. Thanks all for the help.
