I'm trying to get HIDs for my 2011 V6 SE Camry, without causing glare or attract the COPS. Here are my questions:
1) Do I have to retrofit? Or is there aftermarket headlights that I can use with the HID. I see aftermarkets for 2007-2008, but none for 2010-11.
2) Will adjusting the squirrels on the OEM headlights take care of the glare with HIDs?
3) If I have to retrofit, has anyone here done it their 2010 or 2011 so as to give me advice?
4) Also has anyone put angel/halo eyes in their 2010-2011 SE? How did you do it?
Thanks in advance.

Around where I live, cops have better things to do than bust people with PnP kits throwing glare. Baja lifted trucks with 8000k PnP kits in the lows and fogs aimed at the trees go without consequences. Just don't go putting super-blue HID's in and you should be fine.
1) The aftermarket headlights have crappy projectors, the light output will be much worse than the OEM headlights. The only aftermarket Gen6.5 headlights are all OEM-style, no Halo's.
2) I ran a HID kit in my Gen6.5 OEM headlights for 3 months before I did a retrofit and never I messed with the squirrel spotters. They don't throw as much light as the Gen6 projectors did, so I didn't mess with them. Output with the stock Gen6.5 projectors + 4300k PnP was not bad at all.
3) Advice on retrofitting, buy an extra set of headlights to retrofit. That way you can take your time and do it right and your car won't be out of service the whole time. Gen6.5 projectors are not 3" like everyone says, they are more like 2.75". So 2..5", 2.75" or 3" xenon projectors can fit with the proper modifications.
4) No angel eyes/halo experience....
Overall, if you are not good with tools, go with a 4300k-6000k Pnp kit and make sure the headlights are aimed properly. If you're good with tools, read up on retrofits, shop for the parts needed and build your own retrofit.
My Gen6.5 retrofit has E55 single-xenon projectors with ZKW-r clear lenses and Osram 4300k bulbs. Likes: Bright, throws light far down the road, nice blue-purple color in the cut-off, distinct slanted ECE cut-off. Dislikes: ECE cut-off step on the sheild is high compared to the DOT cut-off, so it really lights up the right side of the road and glares peoples mirrors
when I pass them.
