Gen5 2006 Camry SE - Steering Vibration

I have a 2006 Camry with a steering vibration at 60-65 miles per hour. I have looked at all of the Threads for similar problems but everyone is guessing at the cause....stating "Check the allignment, check tire pressures, check the wheel balance, check the wheel bearings." I have checked all of these things to the best of my ability and there does not seem to be a problem there. I bought new tires and had the front end alligned. Vibration still there. Had tires balanced 3 different times. VIBRATION STILL THERE. Removed wheels and inspected all suspension parts. No obvious problem seen. Switched tires front to back then left to right then front to back again. VIBRATION STILL THERE.

FRUSTRATION HAS SET IN.

I have noticed a pattern of similar reports from many Camry and Carolla owners and I am sure there is someone out there who has ben able to fix this problem.

Forgot to mention that the right front is wearing on the inside but the allignment checks out. I had the allignment re-checked at the tire dealer and then checked it myself later in the month using toe plates that we have in the shop for our SCCA ITB Club Racer.

Is there a Recall that I am not aware of ?????

Someone please help.

Thanks

Check your rotors, they could be warped which can cause this. Or you balljoints might be shot. Or even the struts.

Probably not the answer you wanted, but there's not much we can do without actually seeing the car, i'd get a mechanic to take a look.

I had the same problem for too long. Balanced the tires, drive for a week and the tires will go out of balance again with steering vibration at the same speed. Checked the front end and nothing was wrong. I then decided to get my shocks changed. That was the solution and I have been driving months now with no steering vibrations and no need to re balance the tires. You might have to try that. Good luck.
