TRD Springs Super Uneven Drop

Here's a a before pic of front with stock 16"

Here's the after with 18" TRD wheels plus TRD lowering springs

Here's before rear

Here's after with 18" TRD wheels plus TRD lowering springs

It may be hard to tell but the rear is at least 1-1.5 inches lower than the front, totally uneven.

I know that TRD springs are supposed to lower the front 1" and the rear 1.5" but they dropped my rear like 2.5 to 3"

Is there any easy way to even this out?

hmm you should have taken a far side shot of the car, and anything in the trunk? Were the springs used? I have H&R springs that I bought used on my car and it sits a little bit lower in the back because of my 15" sub and big sub box, but it doesn't look like yours. You can buy spacers to put in between the springs to raise the back a little bit. Maybe you should have gotten H&R springs instead? Plus the TRD springs are known for the uneven drops.

No way did it drop your rear 2-3 inches...it would be dragging on the ground. It may look like that because it is uneven.

You can get spring cushions to put in the rear and that will even them out.

Looking at the pics, that is "normal" for the TRD springs.

Not a problem

I have Eibach springs which are the same as TRD, and i never had this sag, but it could be because i have a V6 so it pulls the front down more.

At least that is the only explaination i can think of

Looks more noticeable with those fat tires...why did you go with a 225/50/18? Or are those 235/50's, kinda hard to tell on my phone.

Yeah...I cheaped out because my friend at Discount Tire hooked me up for $525 and 45's were over $200 more because he had a special discount available on the 50's

Your tires make it look like that.

If you have a 4 cylinder, it's normal.

AND, if you actually look at it, it's a fairly even drop. Many other drops are actually UNEVEN, because if you drop the wheel wells the same amount (if that's what you wanted), that actually makes your car look raked. (Your underbody would no longer be parallel to the ground).

When I installed my expensive coilovers, I made sure the rear sat lower than the front and the actual heights front to back were the same.

Wow, I was thinking about putting the TRD spring set on my car but that looks way too low/aggressive for me. I wanted a very mild drop just to eliminate some of the wheel gap

Can you link the spacers you got? My Teins have 2 fingers in the front, and 1 in the rear. It's about a 3/4" difference.
