2008-ish Camry SE: Interior Door Plastic Damage

Hi all,

I joined this site after a few google searches on this issue put it at the top of the list. I searched the forum and came up dry so here goes:

Attached below is a picture of the handle with the damage (drivers side). I'm sure others have had this issue so I was hoping to see what others have done as a solution. This car belongs to a friend of mine, and she asked for my help because it really bothers her.

I'm not a mechanic, but upon first inspection and a little tugging it appears that piece can be removed and possibly replaced with a new one? Don't really want to take her door panel off unless I have to (and don't want to waste the time if that piece can't be removed anyway), any insight would be much appreciated!

Best bet might just be pulling the panel and seeing if this part can be removed without damaging it... then clean, scuff, repaint.

EDIT: I stand corrected. It looks like this part is available!
