Another Strut Question
Was in need of new struts at 74K miles. Ordered KYB GR2 from online vendor. When they arrived one was GR2 silver and the other 3 excel & black. Now I know KYB's website states that they are changing things and the excels are as good, but I wanted matching struts and even the color difference on one axle is odd. The car would probably not have passed inspections and also in case I wanted to sell, would take a hit for having struts that don't match.
Returned the item, but now back to square one. The original vendor could not supply matching struts and looking/calling around seems like it is a crap shoot. At this point Monroe Sensatracs are cheaper and make more sense.
Anybody else have a similar experience with KYB's recently (I saw one post on the Avalon forum).
Also, anybody have Monroe's and could tell me how they feel compared to the original?
