Question 2002 Camry automatic with transaxle leak

What am I doing wrong. Replaced the engine and in the process replaced the transaxle seals. The left on is leaking, I thought maybe I had damaged it and replaced it but it is still leaking. I can't hear the axle click into place but it has to be pried out to get it back out. Any ideas on this, I have done before and never had a problem. It is a 2.4. Am I just not getting it in far enough?

thanks
for any help!

ATF leaing

What I found was that the Chilton said to be sure and seat the seal all the way in. That was incorrect- it just need to be flush with the housing. Hope this helps someone else.
