JBL Differences.. are there any?

I got a 06 Camry SE, which came with the regular JBL w/ Single Disc. I replaced that with the 6 Disc JBL. Im curious as to if there is a sound/quality difference with either of them. I feel as if the single disc had just a bit more clarity on some songs, same with the base (sounded a bit better). I'm selling my single disc JBL so just trying to figure out if anything.

Even though it's a JBL system, the head units may be made by different manufacturers. There is a small 5-6 digit model number on the faceplate of the units. If the first number is a 1 then it's made by Fujitsu-Ten, a 5 means its a Panasonic. You can definitely have different sound quality from different manufacturers. Of course the amp and the speakers are the same between the 1 and 6 disc systems.

How about for the GEN 6? who makes the JBL system (headunit)? Is there any way to know who makes it without taking the headunit out? mine is the 6 disc, JBL system on my 2010 camry se

Still a Fujitsu-Ten or a Panasonic HU.

Still dont know why people replace factory decks with another factory deck, those things are so limited in functions , My pioneer DEH 6100bt (single disc by the way)

Advanced Sound Retriever to restore your compressed media to near CD quality
Front-panel AUX input for older mp3's since it has a USB port even for Flash drives loaded with music and IPODs
HD Radio, XM, and Sirius Radio Ready
3 RCA high-volt preouts for my alpine amp
Amplifier Off Mode
Display Off Mode
Awesome bluetooth connection with which i can stream music from my phone with. (it takes about 8-10 seconds to pair each time i turn the car on.)

I bought that when it was fresh in 09, i still transplanted it from my 04 accord to my 09 camry SE. Which boosted the dash looks since it has blue lights and my SE knobs have light blue colored lights. if you're going to buy an aftermarket, there are a whole lot of newer models that do even more. You can even go higher; for the ones with GPS, backup cameras and DVD players built in already. Factory is just not it, but to each their own.

I prefer or like the whole stock look. All three of my cars have stock stereo, and well my 08 Acura TL's stereo looks pretty good stock.
