Footwell Lighting

Hey guys, I've searched and searched the forums and i have never found a definitive answer for this. I'm driving a 2011 Camry Se, and I want to install footwell led's. How could I wire it so that they come on with a switch (continuous power supply?), but also come on when the doors open? Thanks so much!

Interested in footwell lighting wired to the dome light as well. I know there is a DIY on it, but the pics didn't load for me

yes there's a DIY but i don't believe the DIY has the wiring he is looking for...hes trying to hookup the lights to come on with the dome light and when the doors open and close, but also wants to be able to turn the lights on/off if he is in the car driving...

i've tried to wire my setup this way but failed...i did fine wiring my altima like that when i had it but when i tried on the camry i couldnt get it to work...so i have them wired to come on w/ my dome light/doors and just didnt worry about hooking it up to come on independently...i believe you may need a relay to do this...when i tried i opened the doors and the lights came on when i tried to use the 3 way rocker switch on/off/on to turn them on independently i would blow the fuse everytime and never had success...so goodluck getting it to work...like i said it may just need a relay but im not very good w/ all of that

Thought this was semi relevant, i put this together 100% on my own with some opaque casting resin, strip led, and a dremil. Lot of fun and easy eh. As far as your question, i'm actually looking into this now, i'm going to put that same clean white litgting under seat and foot areas in front and back. I'm want the invidual areas to light up with the door open, but one switch to turn on all at once.
I'll figure it out and let ya know.
