You'll need to purchase the PAC TATO part to send the signal to the JBL amp to turn on. That goes for any aftermarket head unit, Erisin, Pioneer, etc.
The Erisin is generally plug and play, but you'll have to program your buttons. I've read that some people have to reprogram them every so often with the Erisin. I had it installed for a week or so (my Erisin is now for sale, if you're interested), but took it out and went with a much more expensive Pioneer. The issue that drove me away was the interface for mp3 (non-ipod) music, which I use extensively. The sound quality was just okay, and the functionality other than the mp3 stuff was fine, but since I used it mainly for mp3's, not everything else, it drove me crazy for the week I had it, so I uninstalled it. It looks gorgeous though. Very OEM and a huge screen.
There's a very long thread here about the aftermarket NAV systems. Generally, people like the Erisin, Eonon, etc. And for the price....
