New guy from Dallas with questions

New guy from Dallas. We have 02 camry LE with 155k miles. It is my wife daily car and I have done all maintenance myself. So far, i replaced valve cover gasket, oil pan seal, new starter, brake pad and shoe, replaced thermostat, etc. I have 2 questions.

I will be replacing the transmission gasket soon and i heard that you have to jack up the motor about an inch to get to the transmission pan bolt....is this true?

Also, it has engine check light and it has a bad catalytic converter. Do you have any catalytic converer recomendations?
