justanothercamry - farewell

there's a good chance the camry is going to my brother by the end of this year. it's staying in the family, but not in my hands. the plan is to sell his car (and the problems with it) and have him use the camry. i was going to use the money to invest in a down payment for a new car, but after a recent offer to borrow a vehicle in return for fixing it up, i'm dumping it into the justanotherhouse fund.

2006 - debadge and tint as first mod:

2007 - fujime concept immortal 18x7.5+42:

2008 - megan racing springs then diy black headlights:

2009 Black Roof then BC Racing Coilovers:

Mid-2009- 5zigen fno1rc 18x9.5+35:

2010:

mid-2010- i moved back to socal and played with camber and whatnot:

2011 - excuse for carbon fiber hood and se headlights - day after kyowa racing 18x9+40:

currently and how it will go to the next owner:

happy thanksgiving. i thank the 200,000 reliable miles the camry has given me, and the chance for my brother to experience something reliable.

heck. i think it's up for a new sig pic to boot.

^not another camry. lol. all the choices on the short list have two doors though. the rear seat was rarely used for passengers.

^i got the vis cf hood local from wtfpogi (corolla owner from socal) cheaper than the cheapest metal hood painted (it was also taking up space in his backyard ). the fitment is good around the fenders and headlights, but i had to move the latch up to the highest position (it's slotted) for it to close. the gen5.5 SE grille is very tweaked when screwed down, and i think that's a product of aftermarket grille (it was slightly tweaked mating to the oem hood to begin with) mating to an aftermarket hood. in addition, i had to replicate the seal on the oem hood with some off-the-shelf weatherstripping.

the cf spoiler is not going back on. that thing is purely for looks and poops on highway mpg.

That is kinda of what has kept me away from a CF hood or any aftermarket hood. CF Di-noc wrap ftw lol

lol yeah. i only got it because it was dirt cheap, it helped a fellow forum member, and i can get away without painting the hood for now. lol. i was not a fan of the look of carbon fiber over large surfaces, but at least the black roof helped with the "flow".

sorry nope. and the zigens are most likely getting refinished and onto the sienna.

those wheels are heavy and a bit sunken anyway (kyowa racing evolve in 18x9+40). they were heavier than the larger zigens, but they can be found very cheap online with local pickup.
