Steering Wheel Mould Removal + Emblem Removal

Hey fellas,

I know there's a thread somewhere in here on the removal of the steering wheel emblem but I need to know how to get it off. I tried fishing line but damn it seems like it bends hardcore with pressure and on the verge of breaking.

Also need the moulds on either side off so that I can wrap em or spray em. I'm blacking out the car.

Let me know

Hah, I've been trying to figure this out for my car too, but its a gen 5. Hope someone has a good answer for this.

Personally I just taped and used newspaper all over the place to paint my side molds.

Steer wheel emb mod (w/pics)

Hope that helps, disconnect negative at battery so you don't hear horn go off a million times, or worry bout air bag. Also, The plastic pins are long and glued, so the challenge is to uniformly lift the emblem out. It's hard not to bend it. Also difficult to not scratch up the other parts around it, especially when you're wedging 5 plastic knives in there. I eventually needed a mini screw driver anyway, because I kept snapping plastic.knives. It can be done , but patiently, working each side near a pin a little at a time....wedge knife to hold that position etc etc.
I did snap a pin and bend another. Clear epoxy still got her back in there nicely, so don't panic

Especially if you don't feel like resetting all other audio etc. That fuse disable air bag as well? I did mine w/o disconnecting anything, it was just precautionary since I was posting advice online.

7Sick....which panels?
