What is the widest tire that can fit on Camry 08 with stock 17 inch rims?

Currently I have 215/55/R17 and would like to get wider tires without having them rub against the inner side while turning or dont want to add spacers, or any other modifications.

Can I get 245/45/R17? Also if you have pics of your camry with wider tire please post them.

Im almost positive your going to get flamed for not using the search bar but i dont care i like to answer/help ppl anyway

to answer your question your stock/oem rim is only 7.5 inches in width 245/45/17 is a bit much for the rim but with out question yes you should have no issues putting that tire on my recommendation would be to go with 225 45 17 anything else is just over kill plus less rubber equals = less money lol

also keep in mind its going to make your tires look small because your not lowering your car and your going from 55 to 45

Thanks alot for the information before I get flamed .

I think I will somewhat go with your suggestion by lowering my width requirement. Lowering the tire profile, I dont like that,

Would you suggest 235/55/R17?
