The navigation unit is not direct plug-n-play. There are instructions at
http://www.oemvalue.com/installcamry07.htm#install I have the factory installed navigation in my Camry Hybrid. Personally, I would go with an aftermarket brand such as Rosen. They have an OEM look with many more features than the factory installed navigation and they are typically plug-n-play. Once again, this is just my personal opinion, but the factory navigation is a horrible design. I live in a rural area and it never can give me turn-by-turn directions when I put in an address for any road other than a main road. It will say something along the lines of "route guidance cannot be provided in this area, please use the directional arrow and straight line distance information to proceed to your destination." ANNOYING! I have a 3 year old Garmin Nuvi for my other car that gives me better directions than the Toyota factory navigation. I'm actually considering getting rid of my factory nav and replacing it with something like a Rosen or equivalent. Plus, I hate the bluish green face of the 07-09 Camry factory nav systems. It looks very outdated and does not match anything in the car. Then again, my door panels don't even match my dashboard.
