Any comments on these choices? TireRack rates the Goodyear as the top among these three and I'm leaning towards that as they say it's got better traction in snow.
I wish i could help, i think we should have a thread for Tire BRANDS, not just sizes, but brands so people know what everybody is using, how it has lasted for them, so we can make better buying choices, think about the feedback.
i havent used any of the tires, but i've used Goodyear Assurance tires and Goodyear EAGLE GT's, by far the best tires i've used so far, the assurance i had to sell with my honda accord and was pissed. They are good in all weather, after a year they still had great traction. The Eagle GT's are good for all weather that lean more on summer driving(which makes sense its mostly for wider "race-like" wheels). The assurance is good for all weather that lean more on winter. Goodyear hasnt disappointed me yet, i'd go with it.

I just had the Michelin Primacy MXV4's installed on mine at 25,000 miles. They have more road noise, but seem to grab the road better...
Love them...

The tradeoff for all season's good in snow is road noise. Think the HydoEdge is a directional tire (like the Avid Envigors I use) which are excellent for dry and rain, average in snow. On your list I would go with the ComforTred because its probably cheaper than the Mxv4. Been using tire rack for the research, buy on discounttiredirect. Free shipping.
Put the names of all three in a hat and draw one out. You proabably can't go wrong with any of these tires. I have been replacing the OEM tires with Michelins since 1972 and have never had one fail. Regards
thanks for all the responses. I ended up getting the GoodYear. drove just a few miles and felt some vibration. I think the tire pressure isn't right. I'll pump some more air in and will see how it feels.
Just got Falken Ziex 912, made in Japan, 215/55/17 for 400 cash, out the door. This price includes removal of old tires, balance and install. Not too bad?

where did you get them? Is there any dots on the tires? on top of the valve stem?

$400 for 4 Falken 912 isn't bad, very good price. I have the 912 on my Camry now and are very good in the dry but not so good the wet after they are half worn. But tread-life is terrible. At 11K, my tires has 4/32 tread left. So much for a 65K tire but see how yours does.
