Dealer wants my 2011 back. I can smell the tactics already..

Hello everyone! Wishing ya'll a happy holidays. Thought I'd bring something interesting up.. I got a letter saying my dealership would like to buy back my 2011 for cash or a trade. There must be a catch, but all I can think of is them getting you to sit down and playing games with ya. Probably make most profit from a trade up.

Usually its one of those "Oh, Lets get you in a new car!" thing but this is really soon. I usually ignore these things as its more of a gimmick to get you to buy a new car ASAP because the dealer ran out of stock and wants another sale car from that year.
I've gotten these things so many times (for cars I bring to the dealer to fix whether its mine or my friends) that I ignore them.

I like to drive my cars to the grave, thank you very much.

They all do that, i get the same letter every year... They know i will never sell my Camry, they love it and all the work i have done..

It is just a computer generate promotion/letter/email that is sent to everyone, though personalized to make you feel special.

Yea, as mentioned, I have been getting these for my 2005 for quite some time now. There is no "catch", they want you to trade this in and buy a new one. You will loose couple of grands and get a newer car. The rest of the letter is just BS.

Yeh, that goes in the pile with "warning, your warranty is about to expire on your refrigerator".

Car dealers and Real Estate Agents, gotta love them. And I say that with a whole lot of Car Salesmen in my family, and BTW, I won't buy a car from them!
