'09 Camry Brake Light works for Night Time but not when Braking

2009 Camry LE: my rear brake light doesn't work when braking (fully lit), but it works okay for night-time mode (dimly lit).

This problem is affecting just the right side. The left side is okay for both braking (fully lit) and night-time mode (dimly lit).

Troubleshooting: my deduction led me to believe that my bulb is not burnt out and the wiring harness and fuse are okay because the bulb can be lit during night-time mode, just not when braking. I also think that my brake pedal switch is okay because my left-side brake light is fully lit when braking. I can only speculate it's a circuitry/logic board problem of some sort; I'm just not sure where I can locate the problem.

Has anyone experienced this?

I can't find older posts describing this exact problem, hence starting this thread. Apologies if they do exist. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes.
Did you move the bulb to the other side to see if the problem moved with the bulb?
If the problem moved, replace this two filament bulb with the problem, 1/2 of it is burned out (the brake light side).

The brake light bulb has two filaments inside. Swap the bulb from one side to the other as suggested or just buy another one. They're fairly inexpensive, about $5 each or less. Don't bother with the colored or specialty bulb by Piaa or something crazy like that.
