Do HID's haze headlights?

Hey everyone! I've noticed my 2011 headlights have a haze on the inside of the lens. I've tried polishing the outside with many different products, and it does a good job of the outside, but you can tell there is still hazing. A pal of mine also purchased a 2011 and kept his halogen lights and his lights still look new. His vehicle isn't even garaged..

What causes hazing on the inside of a headlight? Is it because of my HID's? (bad seal.. damaged seal?) If I bake my lights and polish the inside of my lenses, then use halogens only, will the haze return?

Thanks.

That is weird, haze is usually only from UV rays..

I have 55w HIDs, more than the normal 35w and I had it in both my stock and the ebay aftermarket halo headlights and I never seen any hazing...

But if you take it off, polish, just be sure to use a sealant, which is kind of like wax, (not the silicon sealant) to protect it.

11LE.
what you got in your headlights: H11 HID conversion kit or retro? I believe you got retro, right?
I've read that colored (6000K-12000K) cheap aftermarket bulbs got some kind layer that might start burning and hazing headlights. do you see any discoloration or fading on the light bulbs? if you got retro, did you use any plastic for spacing or mounting?
my first retro hazed too, but because of I used wrong paint for shrouds.
after I cleaned it and repainted shrouds everything was good till moment I sold it, 6-7 month).
you dont have to polish lenses inside. use cleaner for LCD screens or optics and very soft fabric to wipe it off. do not leave any residue, double check against light or sun.

I did a conversion with squirrel spotter delete. I had a cheap HID kit for a while before I got a better one from xenondepot. Currently I use 4300k, but I have used 6000k for a while and 8000k for a short bit. I guess now would be a good time to crack them open and paint the housing black/clean the lens! Could the JB Weld I used to cover the spotters have caused this?

My hazing was also from wrong type of paint on shrouds.

With it being spring break, I am baking the lights tonight! Hopefully these new hid's won't haze the lenses anymore. Do I need to reseal the lights with additional sealer or can I just reheat the original sealing?

Mmmmm, baked headlights

Unless you bought some HIDs which put out way more UV than they should, they shouldn't be hazing. Check if the lights are cracked, extra UV could be leaking through if thats the case. I had moisture problems in mine because of the way they were sealed even before I baked em, you sure its not that?
