Remote Start question for 2007 Camry

Hi there! I just bought a 2007 Toyota Camry for my daughter. I am interested in installing a Remote Start (Avital - 4111 Remote Start System (Basic Install Included) - Black) for her.

Do I need to have a bypass installed?

One person at Best Buy said no, then the same guy later said yes!

I'm confused!

I was told my 2007 would need the by-pass. I would talk to the installation department. If they don't know for sure I wouldn't let them touch my car and go somewhere else.

yes you have to bypass the engine immobilizer, i installed mine myself this is the one i used.

i recommend the PKALL doesn't require valet key. i have it with my viper 5901

hi
i am trying to instal mine too,do you have picture for what you did and where are the wire located. i got confused about the kick panel plug 25 pin, how it looks like what it is the color.also the horn ,brake and trunk release.can you please post pictures or a guide to do it.thanks in advance

What kinda of alarm you have and which bypass you got? Mine was installed by professional. Our trunk release is two way so the wiring is different. So once you hook it up you cant use the stock trunk release button on your remote anymore it'll short something in the alarm. I dont have pics of mine buy you can use the wiring diagrams they shoulda gave you. The horn wire you need to mount it outside of the car and feed it through the firewall

hi
my remote starter is viper 4013xv and the bypass is xk05pkti
i want to know what is the wire colors and function at the ignition switch and kick panel.i will use this remote to unlock and lock and start and trunk release i will not use my factory remote
so please help if you can
