Remote Start question for 2007 Camry

Hi there! I just bought a 2007 Toyota Camry for my daughter. I am interested in installing a Remote Start (Avital - 4111 Remote Start System (Basic Install Included) - Black) for her.

Do I need to have a bypass installed?

One person at Best Buy said no, then the same guy later said yes!

I'm confused!

Thanks! Rob

I was told my 2007 would need the by-pass. I would talk to the installation department. If they don't know for sure I wouldn't let them touch my car and go somewhere else.

Re: Remote Start question for 2007 Camry

What kinda of alarm you have and which bypass you got? Mine was installed by professional. Our trunk release is two way so the wiring is different. So once you hook it up you cant use the stock trunk release button on your remote anymore it'll short something in the alarm. I dont have pics of mine buy you can use the wiring diagrams they shoulda gave you. The horn wire you need to mount it outside of the car and feed it through the firewall

I sent you a word document explaining how to locate and determine the connector colors, locations, pin ID's and wire colors in the OWD PDF file I sent you, earlier.
