How to replace hard to get to spark plugs

I have an 03 Camry V6 with the difficult to access spark plugs. I think it's the plenum that's in the way.

Does anyone have access to the info on how to replace these plugs I think there was a guide on the forum a couple of years back. Would greatly appreciate help.

I know they say these Iridium plugs go 90k but I may not wait that long. I am 64k right now and I drive a lot for a new job.

Thanks in advance.

Go to Toyota TIS (techinfo.toyota.com) and pay the $15 for the 2 day subscription. You then get access to all the Repair Manuals, TSBs, EWD, etc. for any Toyota or Lexus vehicle.

As far as the rear spark plugs go, there are ways to change them without removing the intake manifold/plenum. It's very involved and you need all sorts of ratchets, extensions and universal joints... and you need to be a contortionist. Just sounds complicated, doesn't it?

I just did these on my dad's 99 Sienna with the 1MZ-FE engine, and I don't see how it can possibly be done without removing the manifold... at least comfortably! I found it far easier to change the plugs properly (using torque wrench to install) by removing the intake manifold.

I don't think you can replace the spark plugs on an 03 (plastic intake manifold) without removing the intake manifold.

You really do not have to replace the plugs at 64K. They are still in very good shape. I guarantee if you remove them you will see they have plenty of life. I replaced several at 120K and they still look good and the cars ran great. At least take it to 90K (i say 100-120K) and do them with the Timing belt, water pump, and front seal job.
