Problem with Rear Brake Lights

I have an electrical problem with the rear brake lights on my 03 Camry. The fuse keeps blowing the instant I step on the brake. I replace it and it blows immediately. So now i can't drive it because I have no brake lights. I'm thinking there is a short somewhere, can anybody please help and suggest where to start my troubleshooting?

Check in the trunk. Most wiring problems occur there. Flexing at the hinge, load shifting and pinching wires and so on.

If you don't find anything in the trunk wiring try the 3rd brake light and the rear brake lights themselves. I've seen the older models get pretty corroded and the 3rd brake light socket burnt. Not to the point of a short but worth checking.

If you have a trailer wiring harness the short could be a worn brake wire touching metal

I am still battling this issue. I don't seem to see any pinching wires anywhere. I plan on totally taking the trunk apart to see if that reveals anything. Thanks for your suggestions so far.....
