UR Front Strut Bar Installed & Rear 23MM Sway Bar Review

Ok so there is speculation on both purchases and if each one is worth it or not?

First the front strut bar I noticed about a 2-3 mph increase in corning nothing huge and a slightly tighter feel in the steering.

Now for the good stuff the rear 23MM Sway Bar. The cars turn in is so precise you can keep giving it more and more and if you feel like its going to understeer you turn the wheel a little more and it somehow comes in line. I picked up aprox 11-13mph exit speed with this new rear sway bar. It is by far the best purchase I have made for my car to date..

So if anyone is doubting to buy either one I would say its worth it. More than anything get that rear sway bar..

Here I am installing the rear bar on my lunch break at the office!

Very nice, thanks for the review. I've got the strut bar but haven't gotten around to getting the RSB yet. I know it made a huge difference in my old 02 SE. Got my eye on some V8 power so it may never happen.

Hmm I've got coilovers set at the stiffest setting.
How do you guys think rear sway bar and strut bar will react?
Better than with stock suspension, worse, same as stock, or no noticeable change?

even though you have coilovers, you will still a notice a difference with the RSB in my opinion. I recently switched out my coils for the stock suspension (RSB and FSTB still installed) and my handling seems much worse than I'm used to. Still way better than stock though!

Every camry owner who has any inclination to sporty driving or increased handling should definitely get the RSB first as it has the most benefit to handling over the FSTB.

Where did you get your 23mm RSB? Throwdown Performance seems to have the lowest price at $219 shipped, but I've been waiting to pull the trigger for a lower price.

any issue installing the 23mm sway bar? i heard it doesn't fit well with the stock bolts/holders? I know the 19mm is a perfect swap with stock.

the only issue is that the endlinks don't tighten all the way down due to the thickness of the bar...the last one or two threads of thenuts going to the endlinks aren't threaded down, but doesn't affect the install...i just used some locktite to make sure they didn't come loose and torqued them to spec and no problems yet...iv'e also heard of people grinding the endlink nuts down some to help w/ that issue

I agree that an RSB is one of the best bangs for your buck!

Installed one on my last Toyota and noticed a huge difference in body roll.

On the UR RSB, is there a road and track setting or just single setting?

I had no problem with the install.. It probably helped I have a full auto shop at my disposal whenever I want and I put my car up on a lift. Yes the last few turns close the gap but I have no gap at all, and every bolt and nut is torqued to spec.

After the car was on the lift the total install time including the removal of the stock bar was about 15 mins.

I paid $255 shipped from UR Direct. Was here in 4 days with international shipping.. I was really impressed.

P.S. AKM83 you live in San Jose??? Hi neighbor

Has anyone experienced going from 19mm to 23mm. I remember reading on sway bars and while the Camry is floaty I wonder if 23mm is too much bar(easy for average person to oversteer) for a normal LE Camry. I wouldn't mind myself but my wife daily drives the car.

Any input would help.

Thanks Mike
