Had the crankshaft pulley recall done today

I haven't even received the notice yet but had my 2005 SE-V6 in for an oil change and the service adviser said they could do it. He suggested replacing the belts since they'd be off anyway and therefore no labor charge. I don't know what belt life is these days but I guess after 7 years and 57,000, they didn't owe me anything.

The belts aren't that expensive even from the dealer and you made the right choice. I change the belts out every four years. The thing is,if you are ever out on the road and a belt breaks,you will probably wind up paying out big bucks to have who ever is available to have a new one installed. We can't contro many aspects of life, but this is one we can control. Regards
