Next: Coolant change?

Thanks again for answering the tranny fluid question. Since I'm going to be working on the car anyway, how often should I change coolant? It's been done twice, 120K+ miles, still looks good. I put the green stuff in last time, should I stick with Toyota fluid there too?
This car has caused me ZERO troubles, and we bought it new. Hoping to keep in that way till the wheels fall off.
Thanks!

The Toyota red and pink fluids were designed for Toyota engines - to prevent corrosion on the Toyota aluminum block, head, and radiator. Using green in a Toyota is NOT recommended. But your already doing it, so stay with it. You should not be mixing coolants. Its one or the other. If its all green stay with green.

Next time the coolant is done you should switch to pink coolant. Your interval-about every 60k-is fine.

^ +1 or since it is winter you can have it checked to see the freezing point of the fluid. that is sometimes a good indication whether or not the fluid needs to be changes.

You can buy a testing kit that is reusable to test your coolant

yeah, I'll put in red next time. If I do a GOOD flush with distilled water it should be ok.
