Keyless no longer working

Hey all,

Lent the wife my 02 camry le, and i just went to go out and the keyless is no longer working!

I thought the battery was dying cuz she says she didn't do anything. But she also insists she used the key to open it, not the factory fob/keyless.

So i was playing around with a second fob and it also isn't working.

After playing with the buttons, every now and then the lock funciton will work, and I think it unlocked. But not like yesterday (1 press).

I have a hard time believing the fobs are both on the way out, but is there something that she could've done that disabled the keyfobs?

You may have to go to the dealer and have them recoded, I had to do this with my previous car, Nissan Altima.

Gen5

+1 to what Glenn said, and although I doubt both battery fobs died at once, it could be the batteries in the fobs. try changing one of them and see if that helps before you go to the dealer.
Hope this helps.
