2005 Corolla or 2005 Camry 4cyl or Rav4

Hi guys new member on this forum. Im a member on t4r.org and yotatch. I have a 99 4runner v6 4x4. I love my t4r but since I moved to a big city I need something smaller and practical. And better mpg's too. I have been reading up on camry's 2.4 with throttle body failures. Mostly on 2002-2004. I did see some on 05 and 06 but not that many. What years are affected by bad throttle bodies. So it has me thinking about corollas and rav4. Since I believe they (2005) still have a cable attached to the throttle. Here's my list of 3 possible cars for me.

1.2005 corolla s 80k stick shift 1 owner. For 8k ( I did see a new ecm was put in last month on clean carfax)
2 2005 Camry le 80k stick shift for 8k. (no Carfax but Dealer said 1 owner)
3 2004 Rav4 sport 2wd automatic with 100k for 8k ( 1 owner clean carfax.

I have owned quite a few manual trans before, so it's no issue. I actually prefer auto but they are more expensive on the corolla and camry they are around 9k-10k range.

Any suggestions?

It is a personal decision you need to make. The corolla gets the best gas mileage. The other 2 are larger. What vehicle will met your needs the best?

All 3 sizes are fine with me. Really just want better mpg's and smaller than what I have now. Also I have searching on faults.

2005 Camry have bad throttle body, and h20 pumps leak, belt tensioners going bad..
2005 corolla seem to just have bad ecm, hit or miss. ( but this corolla had it replaced)
2004 rav4's. I dont really hear any faults. (2001-2003 had bad ecm's burning up trannies)

Is there a tsb on camry throttle bodies 2002-2006

All are good mechanically, but IMO...would want an automatic sedan.... would want a 4wd rav4...so if its a stick would go with the tiny corolla...

the 04 rav4 and 05 camry have the same 2.4l engine. it's the 2az-fe. i have an 05 camry le automatic. its got 130k miles currently. the only thing that's been changed on the engine is spark plugs and serpentine belt. at that mileage, the front brakes should be replaced at around 110K miles, new iridium plugs by 100k miles.
