If you had an alignment done at a place like Pep Boys, I wish you luck, they severely screwed up the steering in my son's car.... TWICE!

Try this test, with your steering wheel straight, count the turns that your steering wheel makes to the right, center it up again, count the turns that you can make to the left, be sure that they are equal. They had my sons all wacked out, maybe your turning to far one way and causing it to bind.

His car did not have a steering rack however, it may not exactly apply to a Camry but its a start.

it started making the noise after the tie rods were replaced and before i had the alignment done. i dont think thats what it is because just if im backing out of my drive way it makes the noise.i was thinking maybe its had the problem and then replacing the tie rods made the problem stand out because the tires had too much play before.

It could be CV axles...

or may be you are low on the fluid.

Good luck,

Sam
