Heated seat ?'s

I just picked up an 09 Camry SE with factory heated seats. Ive only had it since Friday night and I have a question about the heated seats. I notice the back of the seat gets very warm, but the a%* portion of the seat doesnt.

1. I was wondering if only the backs are supposed to get warm?

2. OR, if they both get warm, does the back portion get warmer? I was wearing a winter coat, and gym pants, so I thought my bottom would have felt the heat first/more.

3. Does anyone know if one section could stop working before the other?

I do not have the Toyota heated seats, BUT, every other vehicle I have been in that had heated seats, had both back and bottom heated the same. It felt good on cold mornings...

The back and bottom are separate heater elements and one could fail.
