2009 Camry LE Front Overhead Not Available?

Hey guys, what's up. First post!

I just picked up a 2009 Camry LE and noticed that the light in-between the two "map lights" doesn't seem to be coming on. I looked at some vids, and noticed that my light doesn't have any DOOR-ON-OFF options, so I assume that it's a feature/option that that car didn't have. The salesman we got the car from didn't seem all that trustworthy to me, and he claims that the middle portion is only to reflect the map lights. Should this light be coming on? Is this actually an option? Or was I just screwed by getting the car with a broken interior light? Note: This isn't the light in the center of the ceiling, it's the one in the front center.

Any help/answers would be greatly appreciated!

The light in the center is for your doors. That middle front lense doesn't come on. Just the two map lights surrounding it. I thought it was supposed to come on too until I went through the owner's manual.

So the SE and LE act the same, my XLE only the center light works with the door, with the OFF,DOOR, ON switch.
