XM Antenna Part #
Hello all, just upgraded from a VW Passat to a 09 XLE. Love the forum but having a hard time find a definitive answer. When I first bought the car I pressed the "XM" button and noticed it already had a Radio ID so I knew it already had a tuner.
I could only go to stations 0 & 1, with channel 0 being the Radio ID. Channel 1 continuously blinks "Antenna". I figured this just meant that it hadn't been setup so I switched my Sirius subscription over to XM. Same thing. So I figured I had an antenna problem which I did.
Found the tuner and antenna cable, but the antenna cable had been cut and the antenna was gone (I could see a few smudge marks on the roof where the antenna was). I guess the previous owner figured they would just cut it? Anyway, the only thing blocking me from my much needed Sat radio is an antenna. Is PT546-33070-AK the part number I'm looking for? It shows as "Antenna Kit - Satellite" on most pages. Does $50 sound ridiculously high?
They have aftermarket antennas for $11 practically everywhere. Does anyone know of an aftermarket XM antenna w/ the proprietary Toyota connector for the OEM tuner?
