5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Anyone have this problem? I have an 09 Camry LE.
When driving, the volume is consistent until I begin braking. It then lowers the volume itself. When I accelerate, it ramps back up.
Also on the highway, the bass is excessive. I usually turn it down to -1 or -2 depending on the track.
The car is completely stock. I've had the car for a few weeks now.
This is the only factor that may lead to me replacing the stock radio. I don't want too, but if this problem can be solved by that, than I will.

Any thoughts?
Happy Sunday!
Turn the ASL (Automatic Sound Levelizer) down or off. (The instructions are on page 259 in my owners manual.) Push the Tune / File button, select options should be similar to Bass, Mid, Treb, Fade, Bal & ASL. Select ASL and adjust as desired.
