None of the aftermarket audio system is compatible besides the erisin or Otto navi. But if you get an adapter then you him it up to make the steering wheel controls work

I have the Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD head unit & I could've gotten the adapter for the steering wheel controls but since the head unit comes with a remote & the screen is touch screen, I didn't bother getting the adapter. My head unit below.

I would reccomend the axxess steering wheel control interface. Its plug and play...no need for any resistors, just a bit of wire tapping and programming (which is simpler than it sounds) and you will retain the steering wheel controls.
I have the Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD with the Axxess and it works perfectly...no delay!
Just installed the Pioneer AVH-P4400 yesterday. I got the steering wheel interface because it was cheaper to get it first, then not get it and wish you did later. It wasn't that much additional. Especially since I was already buying a $500 radio. The radio is awesome by the way. I got it the first day they got them in!

Definitely recommend getting the steering wheel module, when you're driving do you really want to be messing with a remote control? For me the remote control is more designed for your passengers than for you. Its the same distraction it will take to turn a knob or press a button on the radio that it will take to use a remote control, you have to look at both of them. My module controls everything almost, including my bluetooth phone (i play music through my blackberry, i have 4000 tracks on my phone, also control the volume of phone calls) and all the while my phone is sitting in the side dock charging. Now this may not work for all phones, i remember it didnt work with my old Nokia N95.
While driving, you want to need touching your radio the least amount of times possible to avoid problems on the road. Its a safety issue, not just luxury.

That model is not even on amazon yet, interesting, does it have in built nav or do you need to add it on?

I didn't purchase the nav or backup camera as they were an additional $800, but everything else works well. I already had a Sirius unit, so I had them build a bracket off to the side for it.
I doubt I'll ever use the DVD feature...

I got it installed at Car Toys in Denton, Tx. It ain't cheep, but I plan on keeping the car for the next 7-10 years, so I got the radio I wanted.
Looks nice, the backup camera would make a lot of sense though. Ill get something like that next year, waiting a lil longer for something with a better resolution.
