Gen6 Weapon-R i-Throttle, yes? no?

Looking to get rid of the throttle lag, i know its not that much but it can get annoying. I have a 2011 Camry SE V6 so will this work with the harness that it comes with? I looked on the website and it says for the 4cyl version only, will it still work?

http://throwdownperformance.com/inde...oducts_id=4906

Also has anyone used this on a camry yet? The corolla forum on here had great success with it and people loved it.

I was told to get the Pivot throttle controller & wiring harness.

I haven't yet as it is kind of pricey. But i have been considering it.

Me 3.

Was trying to take off quickly from a dead stop today but it lagged for like a good second with no engine respond (sometimes it does that out of the blue)... dammit!

yea, i was also looking at the pivot system, but its twice as much as you said punk. Not sure if performs any better but as long as the lag is gone im happy. not looking for a performance increase since thats why i got the v6 in the first place, that lag just kinda kills the fun

Have you had T-SB-0287-10 "ECM/TCM Calibration: Shift Feeling Enhancement" dated Oct. 13, 2010 applied?
"To improve the shifting performance and smoothness during acceleration."
The lag and accelerator "tip in" problems were greatly improved.

I had mine done last summer, very pleased with the improvement in the response.

Do you know if this applies to v6 as well?

It is still going to be laggy... i have an 02 and it lags. it is the drive by wire system.

The pivot has 3 settings, eco, normal, and i forgot the other it improves the response.

Hmm..the 3 settings suggests the built in DBW lag evens out acceleration, increasing gas mileage. So if you don't care about the price of gas, remove the lag, burn more fuel, see a drop in MPG.

^ I want it more for the track than for daily. I'd probably go on eco mod for daily driving.

GO Bruins!

So what's the benefits of having this? And also the consequences? Anyone did it on their gen 6? Or is this one of them placebo units that really don't do much
