Not really a fan of covers, so tinted. Easily removable with some lacquer.

Tint, its easier to take off and it has a glossy surface (unless your going for the matte look).

Technically both is illegal in WI but covers are way more frowned upon than tint. I have come across some really crabby police officers who will grab the cover off the tail/headlamp and literally trash it in front of you. Tinting, if done right, can look factory.
