have you driven them both?
I think the 4 banger is plently of power for daily driving and you get a 5 spd auto with the 2005 models too so I'd get the SE.

for price wise and daily driven enjoyment in my opinion go for the SE, in comparisons in other class of the camry models its just minor stuff here and there... like different gauges/color, some interior differences, headlight housing, rim package, sport-tune suspension, strut tower brace, etc etc etc... just money wise decisions to shoot for

oh yeah, since he said the 5 speed auto is available for the 4cyl. option, the 5 speed manual would be cool to look for; besides making it more funner to drive

I'd go with the SE. The v6 in the SE is a 3.3L compared to the 3.0L. If you want the 5-spd manual get the 4cyl. SE 4cyl will have rear disc's where the LE will have drums.

if you want/need the power, i say go for the V6, then when the funds allow, swap in the suspension and other accesories that you like

I'd get the v6 le, you'll be saying later you wish you would have gotten it but I'm sure you can test drive both and see for yourself.

V6 LE has discs out back.

the only reason i bought an i4 solara, was cus i already had 2 v6's (both being imzfe's). And cus' my solara was going to be my commuter car. If your buying this as a second car..then let it be an i4, otherwise stick with the v6!

Yes I know, I meant the 4cyl Le will have drums, as where the 4cyl se will have disc brakes in the rear.

Hmm, personally I would go V6 because getting to that output you would need to spend $$$ on your 4. What would it cost to put a supercharger from dealer on a i4? thats the only way I would go with the 4. Its a lot of car to be hauling. Too bad Toyota dropped the manual for the 6.

Consumption wise, I think its a fair trade for that extra pull.

What kind of driving will you being doing?

A 4 banger is fine if you just drive in the city. Even peppier if it's manual.

The LE V6 3.0L is a better hwy cruiser and long distance car.

The SE V6 3.3L is a beast. Overkill unless you like the power.

Also, don't forget that it's generally cheaper to maintain and insure a I4.

No Brainer!!!!

Let me tell you why.

Standard options on the SE.

1. Aerodynamic multi-reflector halogen headlamps.
2. Integrated fog lamps.
3. Power tilt/slide moonroof with sliding sunshade.
4. Chrome-tipped exhaust.
5. Leather-wrapped 3-spoke sport steering wheel and shift lever.
6.Multi-adjustable power front bucket seats with adjustable headrests and seatback pockets; driver’s seat with vertical seat height adjuster and lumbar support.
7. Metallic-style interior trim with chrome door handle accents.
8. 17" aluminum wheels w/p215/55r17.
9. Jbl am/fm/cass/cd w/8 spkrs in 6 locations.
10. Rear spoiler.

That's all standard on the simplest SE. It has every thing to make your car look and feel sporty. JBL sound system kicks ass and the V6 SE power to spare.

I'm a little biased though! I bought my wife a 2003 SE. I liked it so much I bought a 2004 SE V6 for me.

I bought the 2004 SE V6 with the sport pedals, ground effects and alarm. So far I've added new blue Xenon headlights, Limo tint, and a Aero-Turbine muffler. I Love My Camry!!!

So I vote you get an SE. 4 or 6 cyl. you can't go wrong. I'm a little partial to the V6 because of my need for speed.

Good Luck,

Mike
