Headlight Bulb upgrade for 2002 Camry LE V6

I have a 2002 Camry LE V6 and I wanted to know what bulbs should I get to give me the brightest light possible over OEM ones. I do not want to get into converting the lights into an HD Kit because of the amount of work involved with modifying the light housing and the cost involved. I was looking at PIAA but their bulbs can get pricey. What about the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs? Are they worth it or should with the stock OEM light?

They are definitely brighter.... I got all four changed and they look really nice... They have a realllllyyy light blue tinge.. It's the closest to gettin' to HIDs on a stocker non-HID car.... Wait out more replies...

But, yeah, I'm happy with set..

SilverStars are prolly your best bet.

Try doing a TN search on 'Sylvania Silverstar'

I replace all my lights with Xenon bulbs 6000K.

They have a slight blue tint to them when on. And the inner light in the headlight assembly looks blue during the day because the blue color of the bulb is visible in the reflector.

I like them because they really work where they are no street lights. Looks like you've got high beams on without bothering on coming traffic.

Not much light in the city though because the blue color of the light gets washed out by the color of the street lights. But even in the city it looks like an exotic because of the headlights color and light output. My wife thought it was a Lexus the first time I pulled up with my new beams.

The cost are around $40 for a set of 2. I needed six bulbs because Ihave an SE which has fogs. Later tonight I'll take a few pics and post them for you. I also replaced my tails last night so I'll post that also.

Here's the side by side!

The head lights on my 2004 SE V6 are on the right. My wife's 2003 SE is on the left. She's got the OEM bulbs. I've got the Xenon 6000K bulbs.

The car on the right is my wife's with the OEM tails. My car is on the left with the Tails I installed yesterday.

camera angle maybe ... but i if the low beam are 9006's (i think they are) read the sticky at the top of the thread and see how to retrofit 9005's in to the 9006 socket .... also you can take your stock ome and get more light.

Out with the old.

In with the new.

That should help a little. I'll take better pics in the day time.
