Just bought a 2005 Camry!

Yup. After months and months of asking you guys what car I should get, I decided to get the Camry instead of the solara. Reason is because there's a bunch of chicks driving solaras everywhere in my neighborhood, so I started to dislike it. I've been waiting for the 2005 to come out, and I got it! It's great, better than my dad's 2003 Camry. Standard ABS, Standard Driving wheel mounted audio controls, chrome door handles, sporty bumper design, lights, and taillights. Man I love it and it's already been three days.

Plans:

TRD Strutbar
SE Headlights, Taillights, and SE 17" Rims
TRD Exhaust
SE Spoiler
Ichikoh H.I.D. Conversion

I'm not gonna lower it because I like the smooth ride of the camry or put a sound system in it. No need to. I'll post up the pictures here, but here's what my color looks like.

Indigo Blue

why didn't you get the SE if you're switching over so many things from it?

PS. Nice mod plans, also and will we ever get our drawings? not like I'm waiting for it but I was wondering since you made the offer.

First of all, the 2005 SE MSRP starts around $20,490 (That's with manuel) My mom wouldn't allow me to get manuel, so the Auto SE would of cost me $21, 320. My LE cost me around $20,220, but I got it for a invoice price of $18,420. That's a good deal, because I have no credit, and a student. Insurance was the question too, so scrap the SE. But if I get the SE Headlights and Taillights, and rims separately, it would cost me the same price as getting the auto SE, but my insurance and monthly pay would still be of a LE. So I was thinking about that before I bought the LE. My car is under my mom's name, (My name is under her's) but that's because of insurance. My parents would save $3,000 a year if I had her name under it. If it was only me, it would cost my parents over $7,000 a year. including theirs too.
So all in all, the insurance was the big wall that prevented me from getting a SE.

The SE Rims that I'm planning to get soon: (The one at the far right)

Also here's the engines for the new camrys

4-cyl 2AZ-FE (The one I got under my hood)
V6 1MZ-FE
SE V6 3MZ-FE

*I'm quite not sure which V6 engines belong to. Just guessing, but that's the engines*

Congrats on the '05

I was considering it, but didn't like what they did with the headlights, and taillights. Oh, and bummer with the cassette delete, but kudos for standard auto headlights and ABS..

Again, congrats!!!

I just went to the toyota dealership and found out how much the SE headlights, taillights, and the 17" rims would cost.

Headlights: $248
Tailights: $128
Rims: $406 for each with Bridgestone Turanzas
The Spoiler is $435

Can't wait. Need around $2000, not a problem for me.

$2000 huh? that is already close the price of the SE

so $18,420 + 2000 = ~20,420 and you said that the SE was either for manual ~$20,490 or auto ~$21, 320

So that is the lowest price the dealer could offer you on the SE? And what part of CA from the dealer did you purchase at? Just curious that's all

is that right? rims & tires are $406 each? that is close to $1700 after taxed. ebay might sell it cheaper
