Camry Gen 5 manual seat problems

I have a Camry SE '03, the one from Japan...I have complained it to the dealer several times wrt the driver's seat. My seats are the manual type ones where you actually turn a knob to change the inclination of the seat cushion. Well, I noted way back (when the car was around 30k+miles) that the seat has like an inch to 2 inches play when the seat is down, and it decreases as you elevate it. The toyota dealer that I go to replaced the seat tracks for that was their finding, but to no avail the play was still there. I brought it back to them and they claim that the play is common. I went for a second opinion since they didn't have a camry with manual seats in the yard. Went to another dealer and after going around the lot for like 15+ mins. we found one and it also had the same thing. After closely looking at it, it seems that the cam that controls the inclination of the seat is the one causing it.

This is a very dangerous item for it automatically shows that the seat is not stable and is unreliable...This shoud be a recall issue as well...Please post replies so that this can be acted upon and a request to toyota can be sent for a review on this item.

Or better yet...they should upgrade our seats to motorized ones....

Go to the dealer again...

If they still don't want to fix it for real, contact the district rep for Toyota and start to make it a big issue. You should be able to get it fixed.
