anyone complete a stand alone fog mod for the 04 camry

hi im a IS300 owner who is trying to do the stand alone fog mod for my friend 04 camry. i was able to complete this stand alone fog mod for my car and looking at the camry, it seems to have the same setup, except of locations of the fuse. so i try the setup on the camry. if i hook it up to the ign fuse, the fog cannot be on when the headlights are on and the fog switch does not work. im thinking that the relay use in the camry is different. if anyone was able to complete this mod, can you please post what you have done.

thanx in advance

well its pretty much the same instruction, but your fuse panel is under ur steer wheel. take off all the panel so you can get to the back of the fuse box. at the back of the fuse panel there are 4 relays. for my friends 04 camry, the relay closes to the one facing the seats is the fog relay. take it out and look at the link above. within the instruction link above, they bent the relay on the left. you will need to bend the one on the right.
now for the wiring to the fuse, you can either find a fuse that would work only when the ign is on or do what i did which was run a wire to the engine fuse box(through the hole above the accel. with alot of wires going through) and into the 10amp fuse for ign. tape stuff up to hide things and reassemble everything. if you have any question just pm me.

o by the way, DO NOT USE MORE THAN 10amps or it will shorten the relay life.

1st u have to remove the step panel on the side of the door by pulling, then remove the kick panel. the kick panel have a lil screw at the back and u will have to softly force the kick panel out. then the panel under the steering wheel needs to be taken off. you must remove three screws. one is near the door, one is behind the ash tray (need to take it out) left of the steering wheel, and the last one is hiden under a little tab that can be remove at the bottom of the dash on the right side. like the kick panel, you must remove it slowly because there are some stuff holding it in. after u remove the panel, u must take out this bar that goes across. it have 3bolts. then remove i think 2 bolts holding the fuse panel. then do the instruction i listed above.

as for the wiring, you can pick any fuse, but make sure that fuse will only be on when the IGN is on. or else your fogs can be accidently on when its on off or on ACC.

WOW first time i wrote instruction. haha

any other question just PM

Your instructions worked perfectly and it was very easy to do! I was a little worried and discouraged at first just reading it but it was very clear the way you described it after doing it! Thanks....
